Meet The Team

I am a bilingual and have a PGCE in French and Spanish from Cambridge University, as well as a Master’s degree in French as a Foreign Language from Paris–La Sorbonne.

Head of French for 10 years in a successful prep school and 22 years of experience teaching French (any level) and Spanish (up to GCSE).  I enjoy creating podcasts: French Speaking New GCSE (2026), Cuisine and French Conversation, and other resources to help learners make real progress.

Teaching suits my personality!

I am a native English speaker and worked for 35 years as a journalist. I am passionate about the correct use of English and its grammar and since retiring I have enjoyed teaching English to numerous students in Hong Kong and preparing for the IGCSE and DSE exams. 

 

I now look forward to tutoring some more primary and secondary school students as well as EFL adults.

I am a bilingual French English teacher, born in the south of France but living in England for over twenty years. ​

 

Head of French, Deputy Head and Head of Boarding in a private school with international links and helping students from all over the world to integrate and study in the UK.

 

I have also trained teachers and enjoyed bringing new talents to the profession. I successfully managed to deliver languages across 80 secondary schools. My energy is endless!

As a well qualified and highly experienced French teacher and native speaker, I am currently Head of MFL, and teaching in a private secondary school in the UK.

 

I have a deep knowledge of GCSE, IGCSE and A Level exams for both AQA and Edexcel and I thoroughly prepare students who take exams so that they achieve the highest potential. In addition, I have been an Examiner for IGCSE and GCSE French for the last 10 years.

 

I am extremely familiar with numerous platforms and interactive tools and I am able to make remote learning fun and effective, with young learners and adults.  That said, I am available to teach face to face, something I enjoy very much.
